I have been through all the renovations with Dover through the 90s. As soon as the dogs were allowed, Showboat ended. The hotel personnel seem very polite overall. I think Bally's Dover floor employees and restaurant personnel have an attitude problem. I call it discrimination against female singles. Owner sat me hisself out there when place was fairly new. Host told me I could eat inside or come back later after making reservations. Next day waited all day for Jerry Longos Italian. I had to wash down my hamburger it was so dry. I felt discriminated against cause I was single. I was placed at back table with lots of empty tables everywhere. Needed a coat with temps in 80s outdoors. I had fun playing the huge variety of machines. But, no one in 3 days did I see getting a handpay. Biggest selection of machines I have seen at casinos. When checking in, was told I could have the 7th. So, being with Dover solo since 2001, I booked a room paying for first night then 2 more nights comped.
